Pastor Mona’s Parents – Robert and Annie
I grew up in a very small town in Newton County Arkansas, the only girl in a family of five brothers to which one I am a twin, my ancestry coming from Irish, African, and Native American Cherokee Indian. My family lived hard and off the land, In the summer we tended the garden, picking up potatoes, shucking corn, breaking beans and peas. most of our food came from our garden. Monday through Friday that was the way we spent our time. Our fun time and reward was our parent’s taking us to the creek for a swim before dark, after all the chores was done. I’m so thankful for my parents and grandparents and great grandmother for instilling in me the Gospel. Many times i remember those days of my early childhood going to church at 6pm and sometimes service lasting to the wee hours of the morning, folks would be shouting and singing praises to the Lord, speaking in tongues and casting unclean spirits out of people, while the Preacher would be preaching Hell-Fire and Brimstone.
These days Preachers and Pastors are scared of running people off if they talk about Hell, but Friends I’m here to tell you Hell is not some made up place nor is it something you just read about. No! It’s a real place and people really are going to go there if they don’t change their ways, and accept Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
